Father Figures, Inc., is the only youth mentorship organization that requires each mentor to have earned a minimum of six-figures or more annually. We require this threshold of annual income to assure our youth receive qualified mentors who are financially secure and agree to expose our youth to a better environment than their financial conditions would afford them otherwise. Unfortunately, we have observed too many non-for-profit organizations exploiting youth to gain donations, grants and charitable givings from wealthy donors, government agencies and corporations; just to line the pockets of the people running the programs, leaving these vulnerable youth with false hopes and shattered dreams.

Founded by business owner and philanthropist, Gary D. Kornegay Sr. of Beverly Hills, California in 2010 to solve the problem of fatherless youth who are being influenced by false images of fame, wealth & lifestyles that leads to short-term gratification yet, long-term negative outcomes. Mr Kornegay is a product of the inner city of South Central Los Angeles. The second eldest of four boys who were raised by a great father and mother as role models, yet the influence of FAST MONEY in the streets overshadowed the daily financial struggles of mom and dad fighting to just put food on the table. Somehow, Gary decided to not take the path of joining a gang or selling drugs like his three siblings but decided to start his own business in the financial services industry to prove it can be done legally. Today his family business has over 36+ locations throughout the USA and over 1400 licensed agents with over $5 Billion of (IUM) Insurance Under Management.
